Update: The Krewe of Harambee parade that was delayed because of last week’s inclement weather will roll on Saturday, January 20 at 11am. There are some important changes though. The parade will now be staged at the Shreveport Convention Center and the route has changed. All the latest details can be found on their Facebook page.
Previous Post: The 2024 Krewe of Harambee parade was rescheduled due to safety concerns related to Monday’s potential for inclement weather. The parade was originally scheduled to roll through Downtown Shreveport on Monday, January 15th. Now, the event is rescheduled for Saturday, January 20, at 11 a.m. Parade participants line up at 9 a.m. The Hopes and Dreams Scholarship Breakfast that was to be held at the Petroleum Club is also postponed, and the organization will provide an updated time and location at a later date.
